The training is provided through the IRS, the State Income Authorities, and others that are geared up for the training. The purpose of this site is to direct you to those sources. The level and quality of training to become a VITA tax preparer varies from place to place and even with the same city. One possibility for you is the Link and Learn site, which is not yet up for the 2009 Tax Year, but will be available later on in the year. If there are some other specific things you would like to see, please leave your remarks in the Comment section of this posting.
